TYFs four core activities are Coasteering, surfing, kayaking and climbing and are run as half days, full days and multi activity weekends. The activities are suitable for everyone aged 8 and up with no previous experience required. For those who are already confident in outdoor adventure we can open up a new group for a more challenging session.

Kayaking Half Day - St Davids
You'll start the session at Porthclais Harbour in a general purpose kayak where you'll learn about equipment for kayaking, launching and landing, basic kayaking strokes, turning your kayak, efficient forward paddling, capsize drill and safety at sea.
Once you are comfortable with the basics we will head out of the harbour and providing the sea state and weather conditions are not too wild then we can take you out to paddle the Pembrokeshire Coast where you can learn about moving water techniques, principles of journeying and planning coastal journeys. Coasteering - St Davids
TYF introduced coasteering to the world in 1986- since then we've taken over 100,000 people to play on the wild and wonderful coasts of St Davids. Coasteering combines the best of scrambling, exploring, leaping, climbing and swimming. TYF will provide your wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet to keep you warm, afloat and safe, and some old trainers to finish off your new look and you will head out for a couple of hours with an experienced TYF Guide. Rock Climbing Half Day - St Davids
Perfect beginners' cliffs and steeper rock for the sure-footed give climbers or all abilities the opportunity to sample the dlights of climbing the sandstone and crags of the peninsula. Your guide, who will be SPA trained will teach you all of the skills necessary to get you climbing on sites such as Porthclais, Porth-y-Ffynnon and St Davids head. If you are new to the sport or have clocked up a few hours on a climbing wall or crag then this course will help to put you on the right road to learning the basics of safety and technique and allow you to make the most of rock climbing.

Surfing Half Day - St Davids
TYF have taught Surfing at Whitesands to thousands of people since 1984. We use special beginners's boards, warm wetsuits and skilled instructors to get you quickly surfing and on your feet, armed with knowledge of beach and sea safety. Our half day Learn to Surf courses are aimed at complete beginners or those that have never received any formal instruction and want to learn the basics correctly. Wales is a perfect place to learn to surf, with white sandy beaches, pristine blue waters and great surf all year.

Spirit Of Adventure - St Davids
Spirit of Adventure break is a more relaxing weekend, taking just two half-day activities over the weekend. You can choose which activities you would like to do from Coasteering, kayaking, surfing or rock climbing and when you would like to do them- morning or afternoon sessions over the weekend and fill the rest of your time in St Davids with walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, looking around the Cathedral and the Bishops Palace or hiring some bikes from Re-Cylces and heading up to The Sloop for an afternoon pint. A relaxing and mixed activity break for those wanting a taste of adventure.

Coastal Explorer - St Davids
Some days you just need to get away, find somewhere new & leave your everyday world behind. If you want to see the Pembrokeshire Coast there is no better way to do it than paddling, Coasteering, snokelling and exploring every nook and cranny in a day trip with our knowledgable and experienced guide. The sit-on-top sea kayak is a user-friendly craft, easy to control and very stable, designed for recreational exploration and suitable for all ages and abilities. Adventure Full Day - Haverfordwest
The start time for a full day at TYF is 9:00am and the day will close at 5:00pm. Your day at TYF can either be made up of two half days (for example kayaking in the morning and coasteering in the aftenoon or rock climbing followed by surfing) or a full day of one activity. Lunch can also be provided by TYF from a local deli called Food and Wine.

Follow the M4 and then the A40 to Haverfordwest, from Haverfordwest follow the A487 and signposts to St Davids/Ty Ddewi.
The TYF shop and office are located at Number 1 High Street, opposite the butchers and next door to Barclays bank, just above the Cross Square on the right hand side as you approach from Haverfordwest.
There are 3 car parks all less than a 5 minute walk from the office. Quickwell, The Pebbles and the National Park Car Park are all pay and display car parks and won’t cost more than £3.50 ish.
Please be at the office 5 minutes prior to the start time to get your stuff together and be ready to meet your guide. TYF will be in the office from 8:30am daily.
